AGI Cargo secures strategic warehouse lease at LAX

Sep 05, 2024

AGI Cargo, the largest American-owned cargo handler, has been awarded a warehouse lease by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). The lease, located at 5625 West Imperial Highway, will commence on November 1, 2024, following certification by the LAWA Board of Airport Commissioners.

“For over ten years, we have provided excellent service at Los Angeles International Airport, and we are eager to tackle this new challenge, and welcome new airline partners to the AGI family,” said Jared Azcuy, CEO of AGI. “Furthermore, with AGI’s emphasis on sustainability and service excellence augmented by AI innovation, we are confident that this building will expand our value proposition to LAWA and LAX’s cargo community.” AGI Cargo, currently operates at six (6) other LAX cargo facilities, with over 500 team members.

AGI Cargo’s sister company, AGI Ground, also operates at the LAX passenger terminals and is the larger ground handling provider in this market with over 1,000 team members.

Upon obtaining occupancy of the building, AGI plans to implement their ISAGO-certified operations programs, integrated strategies for environmental efficiency and emission reduction – including increased capability to support electric GSE for all LAWA cargo tenants, their Skip the Front Counter initiative, and market-leading employee wellness programs.
