Ontario Airport posts June 2017 statistics

ONTARIO, Calif. – Airline passenger traffic at Ontario International Airport (ONT) increased 6.8 percent in June 2017 compared with the same month in 2016. In June 2017, the airport served a total of 381,312 passengers compared with 356,952 in June 2016.  Domestic passenger traffic in June 2017 totaled 368,452, an increase of 6.8 percent from 344,848 in the same month the previous year. International passenger traffic increased 6.2 percent from 12,104 in June 2016 to 12,860 in June 2017. For the first half of 2017, domestic passenger traffic increased 6.6 percent from 1,983,201 in 2016 to 2,113,747 in 2017. International passenger traffic increased 1.7 percent in the six-month period from 66,471 in 2016 to 67,587 in 2017. Overall, passenger traffic in the six-month period increased 6.4 percent from 2,049,672 in 2016 to 2,181,334 in 2017. Air cargo freight handled increased 18.4  percent from 43,088 tons in June 2016 to 51,034 tons in June 2017. In the first six months of 2017, air cargo freight handled increased 15.2 percent from 248,437 tons in 2016 to 286,312 tons in 2017.
