Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: ULCC) announced its return to Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK), with nonstop service to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas (LAS) launching this summer. The new route, beginning Aug. 20, will operate 11 times per week, with round trip service offered daily and an additional round trip offered Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Frontier’s return to OAK marks the latest growth for the airline as it strives to offer high-value air travel to more consumers in more places and, to celebrate, it is offering fares as low as $49.
“We are delighted to be back at OAK, offering high-value travel to Bay-area residents bound for Las Vegas and the many other exciting destinations we serve beyond,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design, Frontier Airlines. “We are laser-focused on redefining what consumers can expect from low-fare travel - from our expansive network map to the premium upgrades we offer - and we look forward to welcoming passengers back on board at OAK this summer.”
“We’re proud Frontier has returned to OAK with service linking Oakland and Las Vegas,” said Craig Simon, Director of Aviation for the Port of Oakland. “OAK offers a quick and seamless experience for travelers, and we’re pleased to offer expanded flight options for those traveling between the Bay Area and Las Vegas.”
Frontier last operated at OAK in May 2023.
