Envirotainer welcomes dedicated sales manager based in Japan

Apr 23, 2014
Envirotainer is committed to delivering high quality products and services to its partners and customers, all over the world. In the past years, investments has been made in the Asia-Pacific Region in order to support the strong demand from growing healthcare and pharma companies, with the opening of our Singapore office in 2012 and the hiring of new, dedicated staff in the Asia Pacific. Following on to this strong trend, Envirotainer continues to commit to the Asian cold chain shippers by adding to our support in the region. Envirotainer has appointed a dedicated sales manager in Japan. Norihiro Wakai joins Envirotainer as its Regional Sales Manager, Japan, from April 1st, 2014. Envirotainer has for many years, since 2006, conducted successful logistics operations in Japan through our trusted partner Nankai Express. The company – one of Japan’s largest logistics service provider, and the market leader for temperature-controlled pharma shipments – has worked with Envirotainer as the contracted General Sales Agent (GSA) in Japan. Nankai Express will remain GSA for Envirotainer until 30th of May, 2014, and will work closely with Norihiro Wakai, as well as the rest of the Envirotainer APAC team, to ensure the point-of-contact transition goes smoothly for shippers, freight forwarders and airline partners. Nankai Express will still continue in its partnership with Envirotainer as a forwarder agent. “We are here to stay, and we are committed to our Asian cold chain shipper and logistic partners. We are making this change as we believe in the growth of Japan market, and see the need to support the Japanese market with our direct presence,” says Suat Toh, Head of Sales APAC, Envirotainer. “We wish to express our gratitude to Nankai Express for their past and continued support and partnership.” Mr. Yoshio Oku, CEO of Nankai Express, said “We welcome this investment in the growing APAC region, which Nankai and Envirotainer have collaborated on so successfully for the past decade, and fostered a strong partnership together with local customers. Nankai will remain a strategic freight forwarding partner to Envirotainer, to serve our shippers who need to securely ship temperature sensitive goods. With the addition of a dedicated local Envirotainer manager, we will see a continued focus on our important work to support the cold chain business in Japan.” Suat Toh adds: “Having the continued support of such a strong and experienced partner as Nankai Express will help Envirotainer to give the best pharma cold chain logistics options in Japan. To further solidify our commitment to the APAC life science market, I am pleased to inform you also that we will have a local contact number for an Envirotainer Customer Care Representative (CCR) in Japan. This addition complements our 24/5 phone coverage in APAC to achieve round-the-clock service support on business days.”
