FCS Frankfurt Cargo Services GmbH and Air Astana extend their handling contract. The reliable partnership - already existing for several years - will also continue in the coming years.
“Air Astana is a growing airline, not only for passenger services but also in the cargo sector. The handled tonnage has more than doubled in the last years. Air Astana was awarded in 2015 and 216 among all our customers at our annual Christmas Party with our special “Bembel” (typical apple wine jug) award for the first place in tonnage increase.” explains Hans-Georg Emmert, Managing Director of FCS Frankfurt Cargo Services. “We very much appreciate the extension of our cooperation reflecting the estimation and trust in our high standards, especially security, quality and service. We will do our utmost to meet these requirements also in the future.”
Air Astana serves the route from Frankfurt (FRA) to Astana (TSE) in Kazakhstan on a daily basis. During the winter timetable the route is served with a Boeing 757 and during summer with the larger Boeing 767.
The expansion of Astana International Airport strengthens at the same time the position of Air Astana, providing - besides the metropolis Almaty - in Kazakhstan’s capital city the most important hub for air traffic in Central Asia by offering 420 flights per week. Astana Airport of the capital city with 800.000 inhabitants disposes of a catchment area of 250 million people of the CIS states. This is a clear definition of the home market.
Air Astana, the national airline of Kazakhstan, is Official Carrier of Astana Expo 2017, taking place from 10th June to 10th September 2017 in the ultramodern capital city Astana and expecting more than 2 million visitors.
“FCS is very pleased to be a partner of such an expanding airline by supporting with professional service and high quality standards.” resumes the Managing Director of FCS, Hans-Georg Emmert.
